We all have those days when we feel discouraged and the media is full of negative comments. Lake Charles was fortunate to welcome the popular christian musical group Casting Crowns to our city last night. Casting Crowns is a GRAMMY, American Music Award winning group who performed to a full auditorium at Christian World in Lake Charles.
This week I have just not felt very energized. I think I have burned the candle at both ends a little too much and my candle wick is now frayed….
When you are actively involved and working in real estate full time you will no doubt deal with buyer/seller problems. There will be days that test your stamina as well as integrity. As REALTORS when we finally close a transaction we feel like running a victory lap with our clients, it is like dragging across the finish line. We are tired and exhausted but happy all at the same time. You can get that runner’s high of a job well done especially if you overcame any obstacles along the way.
This week I have had a summer cold and no voice which just made me feel pretty crummy and has sucked the energy right out of me. My friend surprised me with tickets to the Casting Crowns christian concert in Lake Charles.
You may have heard this song on Christian radio: And the voice of truth tells us a different story.
As I heard this song in person, I was reminded that not matter how difficult or bad we may think things are, God has a different view. When the waves crash against us we get knocked down and feel like we can’t ever win. “Out of all the voices calling out to me I will choose to listen and believe the the voice of truth.”
I may have coughed, sneezed and sung along with a very raspy voice but the inspiration and message in each Casting Crowns song breathed life and energy back into my soul!
Thanks to my friend Debbie, who paid it forward to me taking me to the Casting Crowns concert in Lake Charles this week. I needed a new outlook and a reminder of exactly where the voice of truth lies in all the craziness of our world!
If you ever have the opportunity to hear Casting Crowns in concert, do yourself a favor and GO! You will be blessed!
