Lake Charles Carriage Rides-Oh What Fun It is To Ride

Marilyn Boudreaux Century 21 Lake Charles

Viewing the  spectacular Christmas lights along Shell Beach Drive in Lake Charles has been a long time tradition and favorite of many Lake Charles residents.    Lake Charles Christmas Carriage rides  have become a favorite activity for friends and families to enjoy in Lake Charles.

I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening and get into the Christmas spirit than a lighted carriage ride with friends to enjoy the sights.   Last night I  celebrated the year and the Christmas season over dinner with  friends at Mazens. That was pretty spectacular in itself with the grand finale strawberry dessert!

After dinner,  we headed out to the Lake Charles Boardwalk to go on our carriage ride provided by J & R Carriage!

Away we went,  we were laughing all the way singing our “Oh What Fun it is to ride”  Jingle Bells song  that is until Rose our mule got to the end of Shell Beach Drive began to sway!  The driver pulled over on the edge of the lakeshore where we proceeded to get stuck in the marsh!

We were a rowdy bunch and Poor Rose had her work cut out for her pulling our carriage!  Suddenly we found ourselves leaning very close to the cold choppy waters of the lake!  The carriage wheels were stuck and we all bailed out and pushed the carriage  our of the marsh to help Rose  and save the carriage ride!  Of course it was an experience and we still had a great time!

Come along with me and enjoy a Christmas Carriage Ride in Lake Charles……..

We all have special memories of Christmas, our 2011 Carriage ride will go down in my book as one of memories with friends in 2011.

HERE’S WISHING YOU MANY HAPPY CHRISTMAS MEMORIES !
