What is Important to You When You Choose a Professional REALTOR?

I am excited to share news with everyone regarding the next step I have completed in terms of my Real Estate Career Advancement.  I have become a Verified Professional Agent!

The Verified Professional Agent (VPA™) is the real estate industry’s first Verification. This is  different than a designation  which is  common in the real estate industry.  REALTORS can obtain many designations but there is only  ONE Verification program which verifies that an agent is:

  • Professional
  • Trustworthy
  • Competent

I won’t bore you with all the details, but the gist is that  I’ve had the totality of my professional real estate credentials – my sales experience, my full-time dedication to my  real estate career, my reputation with past clients, and my record of ethical service – “audited” by an independent entity –VerifiedAgent.com – and they’ve found me worthy of this distinction.

Verification is NOT something an agent does – it’s something an agent IS.   The Verification is not something an Agent can BUY, which is the case for most designations. If you don’t meet the qualification, you can’t be a VPA™.

To earn most designations, Agents  attend a class and pay a fee – most of which last just a few days, and some, just a few hours. Some designations don’t even involve the taking of a test.

As a result, many designations don’t carry a lot of weight with you, the Lake Charles  buyers and sellers.   In fact, per the most recent National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers,  reported only 1% of those surveyed selected a Realtor primarily because of the designations held by that Agent. In other words,  designations don’t seem to matter much to Buyers and Sellers.

The Verification, on the other hand, is an objective confirmation of the Critical Client Service Characteristics research shows you most want when selecting an Agent:

  • trustworthiness
  •  honesty
  • and a great reputation.

The Verification  can’t be bought and can only be earned, It simply confirms what an Agent ALREADY IS, and  it focuses precisely on those thing that matter most to you, the home buying-and-selling public and endorsements from clients and peers.

Given that less than 1% of all real estate agents are VPAs™, I’m very proud to achieve this recognition.
